Another dangerous trend is emerging following the denunciation of blogger NightJack by the Times newspaper. NightJack’s Orwell Prize award-winning blog was that of a candid police officer who publicly, but anonymously, aired what went on within the Metropolitan Police force.
With the demise of good and honest mainstream journalism now having to tread a path between what is deemed to be politically-correct and what makes newspapers sell, it is wholly refreshing to find a re-emergence of the old values of investigative journalism and honest comment appearing in blogs, especially at at time of international mass-corruption in just about every area of the political and economic arena. NightJack, or Detective Constable Richard Horton who was the man behind the keyboard, blogged anonymously and at no time did anything illegal, indeed his blog even brought in award-money which was subsequently donated by him to the Police Benevolent Fund.
But his candidness was just too much for the Times newspaper and the Met.
It isn’t the first time commentators or whistleblowers have been demonised by the mainstream media. Recently the nurse, Margaret Haywood, went undercover for the BBC regarding her concern for the abuse of patients. Strictly she was compromising patients’ confidentiality, but when the cause was clearly with their best interests in mind, such action must be applauded. But that didn’t prevent her from losing her job.
This craven mentality of being expected to not step out of line even when wrongs need to be brought to the public's attention, is wholly unsatisfactory. As human beings, concerned for the wellbeing of others we can’t and shouldn’t stay silent when something very wrong is going on. I can’t vouch for NighJack’s blog, not ever having seen it and now never likely to since it has been taken down, but according to many others who had, his heartfelt and honest opinions and comment of injustices known to be taking place, have every right to be aired. After all, these are the sorts of things you might discuss among friends down the pub, but given the platform of the worldwide web a much wider audience can be alerted to them.
Just take this week, in the aftermath of the supposedly rigged Iranian elections. With a dictatorship intent on not allowing the world to see the self-interest and determination of the mullahs and the Ahmadinejad regime - which acts in Western interests as a devil they can taunt for their own political ends - it’s left to the people, thanks to the power of modern technology, to relay the on-the-ground reality to the rest of the world. Without our own open lines of communication, we might as well be living in the Dark Ages - and of course, that’s the way our ultimate masters would like to see us.
With the disenfranchisement of NightJack’s blog, others who might share similar opinions or wish to air serious malfunctions and abuses within the police force or in whatever area of work they are engaged, will now think twice before blogging, or not blog at all.
Meanwhile the Times newspaper, itself a bastion of politically-correct controlled thought, run by the very same cabal that run of our everyday lives, now seems to stand as arbiter and executioner over free and alternative speech.
Just out of interest, I wonder how many of the paper’s ranks are Common Purpose members, that insidious fifth column group whose task as ‘future leaders’ is ultimately to implement the wishes of our control freaks, the Rockerfellers, Rothschilds, royalty etc. and all those below who work for them?

Back off Blair!
In one of Blair’s last speeches before standing down, he has dealt a parting blow at the media, branding it a “feral beast, just tearing people and reputations to bits,”.
But in addition he lambasted the alternative on-line media, blogs (such as this) and online forums saying that they "can be even more pernicious, less balanced, more intent on the latest conspiracy theory multiplied by five".
Obviously things are getting pretty hot for the likes of Blair and his minders who realise that their pernicious games are being laid fair and square for all to see by that very alternative media.
At the behest of those same minders, Blair’s ten-year stint in office has been nothing short of appalling, curbing most of our civil liberties and rights in the name of a phony international war on terror, banning public demonstrations in many areas in the capital, instigating, almost on a daily basis, more restrictions in the build-up of a police state which pokes its nose into every aspect of our lives, taking the country to war in Iraq on the back of trumped-up false evidence of WMD, getting caught with its trousers down in the cash-for-honours scam... the list goes on. And he has the arrogance to clamp down on an alternative media that is rightly bringing these gross injustices and breaches of executive power into public light!
The freely available flow of information on the web has been one of the greatest enabling tools that man has ever been given, a true democratic platform on which free debate and dissemination of un-censored news is available.
For once in the entire history of mankind can we now use this information to build up a picture of the realities of life, not the sanitised and spun versions of reality fed us by the mainstream media, who have, despite Blair's finger of accusation, been under the scrutiny of government and those who manage our government, for many a long year.
Through the Internet and web I have been able to disseminate a vast amount of alternative views on geopolitical affairs - some completely wide of the mark, but much of which helps me to identify and glean the truth behind many of the serious problems in the world today. In addition, the web’s resources have greatly helped me with my health, leading me to sources of information that the NHS would rather not inform me of, because it isn’t in the interest of those controlling elite who manage big pharma who in turn manipulate the health system.
Under Blair’s proposed media regulator, will all of this vital information simply evaporate, leading us into a new dark age?
You bet your life it will, because it’s current availability works against the interests of the global cartel of which Blair is one of its sorry scivvies, who want us to be kept uninformed, and merely their acquiescing lap dogs.
While the mainstream TV news in Britain now only concentrates on police state issues like paedophiles, ASBOs, curbs on this, that and everything else, interlaced with mindless drivel about pop superstars, and programming devoid of any serious, balanced debate about world or social affairs, concentrating instead on game shows and reality TV - all part of the deliberate dumbing-down of society to nullify brains and divert attention - the web, a few independent publishers' book titles and one or two independently produced magazines - who tell it like it really is - are all we have left to keep our minds informed and in balance.
Try to take that away Blair (or Brown) and you will have the wrath, outrage and opposition of honest and decent human beings to deal with, whose aim is to seek the truth in an attempt to make this place a better world. This is one step too far!

Is it the End of Free Speech as we Knew It?
Does a heightened police presence on our streets provide you with peace of mind or does it give you a feeling of uneasiness? One thing is for sure, it isn’t going to go away in a hurry.
Given that the goal of the New World Order is tight control of you and I, a perceived threat must remain in place as long as is thought necessary and one of those current threats is terror.
As we journey to and fro on public transport we are constantly reminded to be vigilant. Being told not to leave our luggage unattended in stations or on trains.
I often wonder the response I would receive if I kept my havosack with me and took it to the on-train toilet. I’ve seen security men leap into action when back-packed individuals do just that! Litter bins are still provided on trains and the opportunities to plant explosive devices in no end of nooks and crannies are legion. It just doesn’t make sense.
Yet the government’s legislation set up to combat terrorism might well take me to task for that last remark as inciting a terrorist act. Just where is it to start and finish?
Tony Blair explains that the provisions of the new security laws are being put in place to ‘defend our way of life’, yet their curtailment of free speech and the suspension of long held provisions in the Human Rights Act will do precisely the opposite. Making it an offence to ‘justify’ terrorism could have bearing on the kind of books bookshops stock, newsletters such as this and free and open debate on what might be causing this terrorism in the first place.
Of course the savvy among you will realise that most terrorism is probably government sponsored in the first place and that the events of 9/11 and 7/7 bear the strong hallmark of government involvement. This makes it all the more depressing, for if it were caused purely by dissent among extremist groups then one might accept a degree of curtailment of one’s freedom until the problem is eradicated. But since it seems to come from the horse’s mouth of government, the cards are firmly on the table. We are witnessing an Orwellian form of state control driven by a long-term agenda based on a one world totalitarian regime and this current phase is just one stepping stone in that direction.
Unfortunately, few of our political leaders are making any effort to haul in the seemingly unbridled reins of a government hell bent on playing its part on achieving that goal, with the notable exception of statesmen like George Galloway who clearly see the ruse at play (look where that's getting him).
Only by waking up to this incidious game and creating a united front against it can we hope to escape the worst fears for ourselves and our children. It is the drip by drip enactment of these legislative powers that gradually eat away at our liberties until such time as our children will regard a police state, surveilling a hapless population 24/7 who have little or no voice or the will ro respond, as the norm.
